Dear SOM 9thbatch family,
Greetings(Malipayong Pagsaulog sa Adlaw sa Kasing-kasing). How is everyone after 10 years? Perhaps, daghan na ang kausaban nga nahitabo sa atong kinabuhi. Daghan na ang naabot nga kaniadto pangandoy pa. But as much as I want to know sa nahitabo sa inyong tagsa-tagsa ka kinabuhi, let me first share to you a part of the things that happened to me. For the things that I've done sa akong kinabuhi apan - in the other side, not about my family- ug mas labaw pang dili mahitungod sa akong love life. Kini mahitungod sa Gimahal ug Tinahod ta nga Tunghaan.
Yes, Kumusta na ang Sisters of Mary. Not as a student there, but as an Alumni. The school itself has changed - parehas nato. That was 10 years ago. And even if you say - gahapon ra man ko ni-graduate, how come 10years na ang nilabay?. Mao kana ang tinood - ang importante, niabot ta sa maong gidugayon sa panahon. Bisan pa man kung wala nato makab-ot ang atong gibana-banang makab-ot unta karon niining kataas sa kutay sa panahon apan, we must be happy for reaching as far as 2011.
Sa gidugayon, 9th batch (batch 1998-2002) of the Sisters of Mary has been 'solid' and actively participating in any Alumni activity. Perhaps the only batch, as I could say - that has been there for the whole decade. It started in 2002, when the Alumni organization was still messy and no visibility as an organization. The 9thbatch from a company in Mepz2 Basak Lapu-lapu City try to figure out something. Usa ka butang nga "for fun" lang sa sinugdanan. Of course, Doing it with the values and Spirit as a Graduate of the Sisters of Mary.
Bonding. 9th batch was probably - ang pinakadaghan sa Mepz 2 sa tuig 2002. We celebrate Birthdays together. Like, all March - do it on one date. On the other side of that, Ninth batch has been sending representatives to the organization. And I am honored to be one of the pioneers of our batch to witness how our organization was formed and was handled way back then. We tried to epitomized in order to wake ways for a proper communication. Sadly, Wala ko kahibalo if at that time - narecognized ba ang among effort.
In 2003-2005, 9th batch made some good moves. Founding the SMGC (the Sisters of Mary Graduates Cooperative) which at that time was mainly composed of graduate from batch 9-11th then 12th. Other batch did their share also. It was in this time, that we badly need guidance and light. Vice ko sa sinugdanan (Vangie ang President) but nagResign siya in the midst of 2004 so ako ang nipuli. It was in this point of time nga nangita mig older batch who could help Us Draft some ways to continue and to deliver, the values of the Sisters of Mary as a Family. One major achievement of that group (SMGC) was the donation of P17,000 worth of balloons for the 2004 foundation day. (with 10th and 11th batch - naa sad other batches). At the same time - Birthdays are held altogether in a month. We even have the Officers invited in one of our party (Ate Macy's time).
2004 was the 1st Fr. Al's Cup, and 9th batch has the team. The team that were ousted by the 12thbatch in a play-off atmosphere game. Studyante pa ang 12thbatch atong panahuna.
Late 2005, nakakita kog lain nga trabaho, had to transfer and I was sad for I can't continue leading a group of young men and women. From there, we have to start again. After all, SMGC was clearly the stepping stone, the beginning of a brotherhood and sisterhood - Most of the Officers of SMGC (10thbatch, 11th and 12th batch) had their First Leaders from that group. Inibot sila sa maong pundok. Sila ang Liso nga gitamun ug nahimong tugas. That's one of the main reason nganung ang 9thbatch, duol sa nagsunod nga mga batches.
